I was your fan when you were a Golden Domer, I was the happiest LA Rams fan in the universe when we drafted you, I almost burned my Rams things when you were traded in favor of jailbird Lawrence Phillips, and it was an honor to be your fan. Congrats on tonight, so long Bus.

Never really a big fan of his, and especially in his later years when celebrated after every carry. And his career 3.9 yards per carry is less than imppressive.

Curtis Martin's is only .1 higher
Riggins was at 3.9
george is at 3.6
ottis anderson was at 4.0
these guys are all top 20 alltime rushers.
while bettis' ypc isn't the highest ever, what's impressive is how long he's done it.

How long he has done what? Be a bit above average?
He has only been in the top 8 in the league in rushing 3 times in his career. He has been a pretty good back, especially because running backs usually have the lowest career length average. But should he be considered as one of the top 10-15 backs of all-time? I dont know

well, if he was just a bit above average i doubt he'd be a top 5 all time rusher like he is.

Just out of curiousity how many times would he have been in the top 10 in the league in rushing cause? 8 is a pretty random figure.

i really wish i could get a count of how many 3 yard runs he had and celebrated like he scored a TD on or before the steeler 40 yard line on one 2nd and 10.

no i didn't, but my point is that's the way he is. the fans love it, let it be. he's retired now anyways. he's a hell of guy and the NFL should be happy he was around so long.
