I'm one of the new ppl and I do not understand how the seeding was handled and what the numbers meant next to the songs(the seed)...explain plz. Is it done by CD or just all put together?

stip! Don't replace Aye Davanita

It will be high up on at least one list.

Then again I don't know how to play. Are there lists?

The seeds originally came from PJ survivor (which I am assuming we'll do once the new album comes out). Then I assume they were modified based off of the 04 tournament.

There are two brackets--it is like an NCAA tournament--each day we vote on certain matchups (which song is better) and the winners advance

The numbers next to the songs are the seeds.

I don't run this. Green Habit does. I'm just a fan who is waiting for his wife to come home and entertain him.

I remember this as one of the only things I cared for last year on RM. I wasn't really full time member then. Things changed... :)

RM did a good job, I see. These are the only two I would disagree with, but I really can't argue against either winner.

were you here for survivor. that was the old board. I only started posting as that was wrapping up.

I used to just pop up for new albums and survivor. Then I started working from home...

Yes, I was on the old board. I had about as much posts then on a whole as I have now in one day.

If I'm not mistaken, this year's seedings will be based on last year's results.

I forgot to add last soldier to that list. I think I'd take off out of my mind to make room for it.

they are (I assume). I just don't know how that works. When Light Years (7) beat faithful (2) what happens?

why did you make this thread when you dont know what the seedings are going to be or whats happening? let GH handle it.

Because he's getting real anxious for the next season to start. :P

My seeding, I believe, is based on what round a song was eliminated and the margin of defeat.

It looks like I already did the seeding and bracketing soon after last year's competition ended. Ill post what the seeds will be soon, and I'll be curious to see how close you came. I know for a fact that Habit and Parting Ways will be #9 seeds, since they both came real close to pulling an upset. Also, since Faithfull lost to a #7 seed, I'm almost certain it won't be a #2 seed again.

EDIT: Crapshoot and Gone will definitely be added to the brackets. I'll likely eliminate covers before experimental songs, but I might not.

EDIT 2: Ah, I see, you just got the seeds from last year's, and that's all. Nevermind.

I didn't predict anything. This is just what the seedings were last year to give newer members some idea. I had an hour to kill and I like to have something to do when I'm listening to music. This seemed like as good an idea as any. There is no attempt at usurpation here whatsoever,
