Does anyone agree with me that Animal from Vs. is the best song of all time. It is so good. On the touring band 2000 dvd it is so awesome.

I was transported directly from earth to heaven for about 4 minutes the first time I heard this song...on the MTV video music awards show in '93.

Great song but not even close to the best.

You should go to the Other Bands forum and start that page. I'll agree.

i think its one of pearl jam's weakest. lyrically, musically, etc. i still think its good to head once in a while live, or while driving fast with the windows down, but i wouldnt put it in the same sentence as the word 'best'... not with this band.

I have to agree with the last one, animal fuckin rocks out but PJ has some many better tracks musically and lyrically that animal can't even compare to...I also agree with that one guy, the first time they performed it on MTV was flawless, I couldn't believe that they got to play 3 live songs that show, now look how gay MTV has gotten.

Its OK. I like any version pre 96. Its kinda lacklustre now.

The 05 Animals were prolly there best since 98 but IMO I still prefer any versions pre 96. There more intense ie: MTV 93 and 95 tour.

It's an awesome rocker but it doesn't have the lyrical depth to be one of their best. they really ressurected it from the dead in terms of live quality this year.

One of my favorite riffs and some great work by mike. I love the start/stop quality to the music.

Good music, average lyrics.

They have many other better rockers though, IMO
