To be honest I'm not even sure if there is such a thing! Either way, who would you describe as college rock, and not college rock?

Id call dave matthews college rock, just cause everybody i know who likes him got into him in college, and stopped liking him when they left. i think its pretty much just cause everybody else likes him (but me!!!!! :evil: )

I do not think pj is a college rock band, I would think maybe a band like TV on the Radio would be.

I think PJ has a huge college following, but I wouldn't call them a college band...their fans span out over a large age range I think.

i agree as well...i think college rock, i think bands like guster, oar, dave even...more folk-y, jam type rock bands...

im in college and pearl jams rocks, so yeah, they kinda are. but honestly im not sure what "college rock" is. i hear alot of people on here saying dave, but i've liked dave since i was in 8th grade.

Pearl Jam is no longer a college rock band.

They were in the early 90s but no longer.

Nowadays...DMB, OAR and Ben Harper seem to be appealing to college kids nowadays.

OAR and Ben Harper are still college bands? They were big when I was 20. Why did Pearl Jam get old and these guys didn't?
