"Come to send, not condescend..."
Then is it, "transcendent to consequence", or "transcendental consequence". I've heard debate for both. Is there a lyric sheet that the band has or an official quote from Ed? I think it's transcendental consequence myself. What about you guys

A better question is what is with the lyrics change on the Greatest Hits? And I've always heard it as "transdendental consequence."
I think it also says that on the lyric sheet

Yeah, that's it. I'd still like an explanation as to why. The former sounded much better.
I'm not a huge fan of either. The lyrics in general are pretty weak in who you are--except for the epic "that's the moss in the aforementioned verse line". If Hemmingway wasn't dead already he would have killed himself out of shame for not coming up with it himself.

That's one hell of a prediction, but I wouldn't mind seeing it live myself.
they played it at my first PJ show. It translated live much better than I thought it would have.

I think that lyric's hilaious. I love all of them, actually.
