Yup! First time he has officially visited Canada since he was first "elected" in 2000.

And holy shit! This fucking security is costing us MILLIONS!!!! My taxes are being put to use on cops, special agents, snippers, etc., to protect DUBYA???? Man... that sucks!

Plus, the traffic was awful.

On the plus side... there were about 15 000 demonstrators in the streets. But they had closed the streets near Parliament so that ol' Georgy wouldn't actually SEE the demontrators.

Oh well, all in all, a wonderful day for all your northern neighbors.

Whu???? You mean you haven't got used to the awful waste of money perpetrated by the liberal government????

;)

there was a protest in the streets of MTL tonight.....it was well monitored by members of the organisation who planned the protest. And there were a small number of police cars to accompany the crowd and make sure everything was safe. It was kinda funny because at some point i saw one of some local paper's photographs taking pictures of a small group of little kids with their parents harboring signs on which you could read "Bush est VILAIN" (Bush is a vilain). I thought it was kinda cute. :D

Right on! The protest was awesome...atleast...from the short clips I saw on the news..... someone had painted a van...saying something about Bush being a war criminal...clever......I think it's great that he had to experience the anger first hand.....Oh, Canada!

Well, that's the problem. He didn't experience the anger. The protesters were held near the Rideau Centre (if you are in Ottawa or have ever been there... it's about a 5 to 7 minute walk from the Parliament). So he never saw a thing! I just hope he'll turn on the news when he gets to his hotel and sees all the protesters!

he's stated in interviews he doesn't watch or read the news or even look into things, he just relies on those around him telling him what's going on...talk about disconnected

Vinland's leaders need not bow to terrorists like Bush, it really does just make our country look stupid. We need to be more like France.

Bush got educated where? Just goes to show you that a grade 10 education in Canada equals at least a college education in the states. God that guy is a fucking moron. If he could answer one question while looking at the camera the whole time and not skirt around the subject I could almost see how somebody might vote for the tool. If he is an extension of the American people, I would not be screaming that I had voted for him. Just makes you look that much dimmer.

but see that's the thing...you can hate his ignorance and his guilability but personally i don't think he's as bad as his dad and others are/were. That's what makes him the perfect puppet. He's the milli vanilli president, his face with Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld...'s words coming out

yes!

I was quite surprise to see so many young peoples in this small protest, Échec à la guerre is a good organisation, too bad it was impossible for me to be in Gatineau/Ottawa :(

Bush is just an idiot, how about that "thanks to all those who waved with their five fingers" statement? Wow!

*salute Bush with one fingers*

I live on the same street that he was having dinner at last night. I got ID'ed trying to get home and there were helicopters going overhead all night. It must be strange to live with that 24/7. I think there were more than 15,000 protesters though, the media said a few thousand of course.

This morning walking to work I have to pass the Rideau Centre and there were a bunch of protesters blocking traffic, I think I smelled tear gas as well. I've never smelt it before, but it smelled like burning a bit and my eyes were aching after so I assumed that's what it was. It's snowing like a bitch here today. Bush probably hasn't seen this much snow since college.

This was an expensive photo-op. Bush basically said he will consult with his neighbors and allies on issues but when he wants to do something he'll do it regardless
