What's up with this poster? All of their N&D posts are cut and pasted from various articles on http://www.tpmcafe.com.

Seems a little strange to me.

Examples:

Tuga wrote:
What is tragic, in this affair, is the silence of the moderate Muslims. They are the majority, but they don't react. Almost none of their representants came out and explained that there are today many more outrageous and offensive acts than drawing a picture representing Muhammad. Sadly, we only heard the voice of the most lunatic and radical ones.

If Cheney shooting victim Harry Whittington thinks he's doing the Veep any favors by apologizing to him and his family for what they "have had to go through this week," then his judgment is as poor as it was when he decided to go out in the woods with Dick Cheney to begin with.

Ok, you could argue that Google should boycott China until human rights abuse ends, but that makes no sense in light of American free trade policies with China, it would mean corporations imposing their own sanctions at their whim on other countries.

while the rest of the post is copied verbatim, this section was curiously reworded from:

Quote:
I suppose you could argue that Google should boycott China until human rights abuse ends, but that makes no sense in light of American free trade policies with China--we don't need corporations imposing their own sanctions at their whim on other countries.

I could go on.. I just found this fascinating.

This could be an RM Story For the Ages, depending on how it develops.

It wasn't that hard. He used the same paragraph in two separate posts in the Google.cn thread, which was quite odd.

Just take any random sentence from one of Tuga's posts and search for it on Google, enclosed in quotes to search for the exact sentence. You'll find the page it was copied from.

Oh, that's more Jessica Fletcher than Nancy Drew.

Check this one out:

Tuga wrote:
According to my father who is a Hunters Safety Instructor as well as a Police Officer:

First, Nobody leaves the scene of a shooting, accidental or otherwise, until released by the police investigating the shooting.

Second, All shootings are investigated. However, local law enforcement officials were prevented from interviewing Cheney. The Secret Service barred them from speaking to him after the incident. Kenedy County Texas Sheriffs Lt. Juan Guzman said deputies first learned of the shooting when an ambulance was called. Under Texas law there is mandatory reporting of all gunshot wounds and that triggers an investigation.

Third, Blood alcohol levels are mandatory in all shootings. But not this time. Could it have been excessive blood alcohol levels that cannot, now, be measured? The cops should have interviewed Cheney immediately to determine if he had been consuming alcohol.

Fourth, This was a clear violation of the most basic firearms and hunters safety rules.

The only part that's changed is "After having been a Hunters Safety..." to "According to my father who is a Hunters Safety...". Is Tuga's dad, the cop, also posting on blogs? And is his son stealing his shit to post in another forum?

I've gotta say, ever since Tuga's first posts, I've suspected that this was either a current or former member of the board in a new identity, but my number one suspect has told me in the past week (before this came to light) that Tuga is not him.

So I'm at square one myself on this. :?

If I was my college professor, I'd ban Tuga for plagiarism right away.

He/she beat us for 96 posts in 3 months.

There should be a Tuga Appreciation thread made somewhere.
