I figure this thread may be the most interesting so far.

So what are the best shows of 1994?

Also, if anyone wants to trade for any of the shows they have mentioned in any of the "best show" threads...PM me or send me an e-mail at mowbs37@yahoo.com. I have all of the 2003 boots (18 are in tao) and I will soon have 60 2000 boots.

Every show from this tour was great. Besided the obvious choice of 04-03-94, I'd also pick the following:

03-10-94
03-13-94
03-20-94
03-29-94
04-06-94
04-12-94

I'll second 3-13, 3-29, and 4-12

I'm partial to the 4/17/94 fan club show. Great version of Alone, and the "It's better to not be sane" Daughter tag is awesome. Eddie even goes off on a fan who says "I Love You".

Nice trio of SOLAT -> Satan's Bed -> Blood.

crazy to not have 4.3, I know it is a radio show but the encore to this one is just spectacular.

3.29 is a great great tape. I think of the march shows I like 3.13 the best, although 3.20 has its moments.

In April there is the 4.7 rochester show, which unfortunately there is not a great source for. 4.6 in Springfield is another good one.

4.12 has a lot of hype if you ask me, built around the very interesting crew picked setlist, but I suspect that is a show that you had to be at to really get it, even though the audio is very listenable, it comes across as a bit of a flat experience on tape.

1995 is what really interests me, of the many many good shows and tapes from that year, it is almost easier for me to say what shows in 1995 I dont care for rather than picking just a few.

they were all awesome, almost literally. the band was personally miserable that year but the music exploded out of them onstage with a power and force that i don't think has been equalled since. some incredible shows which nobody's mentioned yet:

detroit at the masonic temple, 3/19/94. (wild baba to close the show)
purdue university, indiana, 3/17/94
both st. louis shows (3/14 and 3/15)

I love you.

Honestly, if it weren't such shitty sound, this might be my favorite bootleg of all time. Oh my god. Its so amazing.

How is your audio copy? Mine is awful. Its a bad aud recording.

The 2 sources I've heard from 04-08-94 are a horrible Video source and an average DAT source. This and 04-07-94 were both fantastic shows as was 03-10-94 which no one has really mentioned yet.

Yeah my 4/8 audio is bad too. But I have a sweet big screen TV so I always watch my old VCD of the show. The audio on my VCD is not that bad at all, clear vocals with no background noise. Very listenable, i've heard way worse. I just blast up the volume and that shit rocks.

Nobody ever talks about this show, it's a stone-cold killer. Great sounding recording too, one of the best of '94.

03/20/94 – Crisler Arena: Ann Arbor, MI [115m]

set: Jeremy, Go, Animal, Dissident, Even Flow, Glorified G, Daughter/Improv/WMA, Breath, State of Love and Trust, Last Exit, Garden, Why Go, Deep, Alive, Porch

enc: Nothingman, Three Little Birds, Yellow Ledbetter, Black, Rearviewmirror, Not for You, Blood, Indifference

notes: PJ required that 2,000 tickets be set aside for students. A fun show, with the band playing “Name That Tune” with the audience. To “keep each show different,” PJ encores with a “few mellow song.” This is the first time ‘Nothingman’ has been played live. ‘Three Little Birds’ is a Bob Marley song. Ed jokes about a bomb threat in Indiana and then, “… they tell us that there’s escapees from the insane asylum. They can be identified by the yellow wristband.” The floor audience holds up their arms, displaying their yellow wristbands. Ed ends the show by pleasing the crowd with: “Detroit rock city, we’ll come back again.”

My god. If only a time machine existed. That's one month or so I would definitely be following the band. Every frikkin' show.
