i believe his best stuff is shown in his work with mad season, then temple of the dog.............it sucks that what i consider his best stuff isnt even with pearl jam,,,,,
though i think pj is the greatest band of all time,,,,,,......sorry if this ruffles any feathers but, for christ sake have you heard "november hotel" fuck....

I have to agree that Mike is at his best on the bootlegs...actually he's just at his best live when they just let him go off for awhile, sometimes when he's just wailing away I look over at Ed and he looks like he's totally amazed and entertained as much by Mike as we are in the audience...Above is a great album and I love him on it but I totally disagree that TOTD is some of his best work, it's a great record too but I'd rather hear him on any PJ album

I agree that, like Ed's vocals, Mike's playing is best displayed live. His work on the albums is good, but he's just fucking great up on that stage.

I think 'Reach Down' is way better than anything on the Mad Season cd. I think that's his best. Mad Season is awesome, don't get me wrong. It's better than his work on any PJ album except maybe Ten. I love his guitar on Yield, too.

Gotta say I've always thought this as well.
Kind of a shame but at least we've had the chance to hear this great guitarist shine.
He's kind of handy in a live environment for Pearl Jam though!
