I have heard this a few times. What do they mean when they speak this words? Because to me they have had alot of singles that were not "typical"
STBC, nothing as it seems, who you are, etc.

Hmm.
I Am Mine, Nothing As It Seems, Light Years, Who You Are, Spin The Black Circle. Maybe it means that it's a song that could POSSIBLY get some radio airplay, the way a single is supposed to.

yeah, that's what i thought too. that it'll be an atypical single for pearl jam, but more typical of rock bands in general

Well, you know, having a more "popular appeal" single out really couldn't hurt much at this point. I, for one, would appreciate it. In fact, I would certainly appreciate having a more immediately accessible album out from these guys. Something a *little* catchy. Something you'd like to hear a couple of times. Would this be so wrong?

I'd love to see Pearl Jam get popular again. It would be like a bunch of your friends confirming that your girlfriend is hot. (waiting to get wacked by fanboys)
