I'm watching the 1993 finals Game 4 right now, and its like the Fratello and Albert are trying to commentate on the game despite him. He does not contribute a single piece of useful knowledge for the duration of the game. Some great quotes:

"I am gonna get into this one... now you see Kevin Johnson that's coming down... cuz you see, you see, Phoenix had turned the ball over last time and I think Paul Westphal wanted to get Kevin back down there."

"Since Richard Dumas is is playing so well, it's going to be interesting if, to see if Paul Westphal play him in the fourth quarter because he hasn't been playing him in the fourth quarter."

"Now this is a very interesting game. You figured Chicago was going to come out strong after their strong start but here comes back Phoenix strong."

And why does it always sound like he's shouting? He makes the former ESPN Sunday Night Crew look like award-winners.

He is most definitely the worst, absolutely awful. What's funny is that his talk show was even worse. The best is when Howard Stern came on and ripped him a new one. That was classic TV

You have to be truly horrid if you're worse than Bill Walton or the former (thank god!) Sunday Night Football douches.

Stern played clips of that on his show shortly before leaving KRock. Fantastic stuff. Queefing + The Magic Hour = Comedy Gold

Stern And The Loser Make Magic Happen!
As promised, Howard made his appearance on Magic Johnson's new talk show Thursday night complete in-tow with his rag-tag band lovingly known as "The Losers". The band's line-up consisted of Howard on keyboard, Fred and Jackie on guitar, Scott the Engineer on drums, Robin on tambourine, the farters, Maria, Jeremy and Jean-Paul and the two Garys (Dell'Abate and Garver) on gas mask microphone detail to capture all of the farters' sweet sounds.

Robin's laugh opened the 'Wipe Out" bit revealing a stage with the band and the farters all lined up on a mat with featured farter, Maria, standing in the middle. Kneeling besides her, Jean-Paul and Jeremy added toots of sound to the song as it ripped.

Afterwards, Howard and Magic sat down and had a brief one-on-one interview. "Let's get right to it. Why you been talking about me so much, man?" Magic asked Howard. In true Stern style, Howard told Magic that the show needed some work, to which Johnson somewhat reluctantly agreed. Then Howard told band leader and ex-Prince (¦) lover, Shelia E., that she needed to show more of her body, much like she did for Prince.

During the interview, Howard touched on Magic's lack of the use of Ebonics, HIV and Magic's infamous booty call pool parties that came complete with loads of beautiful woman. "I want to know about your life before HIV. You have the life that I wanted," Howard said. You could see Magic squirm a little bit as the booty call and HIV questions flowed. "...nobody has fun getting HIV," Magic explained. "Believe me brother, you did," Howard joked. Then Magic avoided the whole HIV situation altogether by immediately changing the flow of the show by introducing a surprise guest and long time friend of the Stern show, Jessica Hahn.

After a commercial break, Robin sat down with Howard to rap with the brother for an audience question segment. "Robin, how can you work with this guy? Magic asked. "Now wait a minute. How can I work with you, Magic? You didn't even pay for me to come here. You didn't get me a hotel room. And then you ask me to do the show. You have some nerve. You really have some nerve," Robin snapped back with a devilish smile on her face.

Other celebrities on the show and in the audience were Tiny "Zeus" Lister, who played his usually pissed-off angry black guy role acting pissed off about Howard's recent comments about Magic's show. Celebrity Stern fan, Drew Carey and Karen McDougal, Playboy's 1998 Playmate Of The Year, rounded out the crowd.

Shelia E. ended the show with a smokin' rendition of her one-hit wonder, "A Glamourous life", as Howard groped and dry humped Jessica Hahn to the beat on the couch.

As a result of Howard doing Magic's show, the one-time basketball star turned talk show host says he'll do Howard's radio show soon. Another tid-bit to come out on the show was that Howard's new Saturday night CBS TV show would be called "The Howard Stern Radio Show" since it will be mostly clips of some of the most outrageous things to happen the prior week on Howard's radio show, much like Howard's E! TV show, only more topical.

yup, that was awesome. That talk show was so brutal - what TV exec decided to give Magic his own show?

shouldnt the title of this thread be WAS the worst announcer, considering your talking about a game from 12 years ago?

he is by no means great now, but he's an ok in studio guy.

Walton is the worst, worse than Paul Maguire, worse then Theisman, worse than Jerry Glanville was, worse than Magic. THE worst. I literally get angry and yell at the tv at him when he is doing a game.

Has anyone seen Walton do the Top NBA plays of the night on Sports Center?

He is so awful it's hilarious. All the catch phrases he uses are so generic and he says them as if he's doing it on purpose.

he had HIV. you know the difference?

There is currently no cure for HIV or AIDS. Infection with HIV usually leads to AIDS and ultimately death. However, in western countries, most patients survive many years following diagnosis because of the availability of the highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). In the absence of HAART, progression from HIV infection to AIDS occurs at a median of between nine to ten years and the median survival time after developing AIDS is only 9.2 months. HAART dramatically increases the time from diagnosis to death, and treatment research continues.
