Oh, just a few little films called The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Once Upon a Time In The West. Only two of the finest film scores ever composed.

The 'For a few dollars more' soundtrack is way overlooked. But start with Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo. Best. Soundtrack.Ever.

He also did some pretty unexpected stuff, like The Thing and some of Dario Argento's early films. I always like his scores, they're always very unconventional. I get the feeling Goblin's scores were heavily influenced by his.

I don't think you can too wrong with any of his work, honestly. But The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is a must-have for anyone who loves music.

Did he do Once Upon a Time in the West AND Once Upon a Time in America? Cos I have the latter, and it's fantastic.

not that it hasn't been mentioned five times already, but the good, the bad, and the ugly is the only movie score i ever listen to. the ecstacy of gold is easily one of the most perfect pieces of music set to celluloid in the history of cinema

will i be able to "get it" without the movie?

Man, you HAVE to see the movie. Not that the music doesn't work fine on its own, but do yourself a favor and watch it.

Ecstasy of Gold is hands down one of my favorite songs ever. I love how it is used in the film too. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is incredible. I think that "showdown" scene at the end is one of the greatets moments in cinema history.

The Untouchables soundtrack is also great. That main theme is very catchy.
