Yay! I have my fingers crossed for early/late spring. I'm so disappointed about having to miss out on Taste of Chaos, but at least I can look forward to a Deftones tour now!

Excellent news. I can't wait to hear some new shit on the Taste of Chaos tour. Here's hoping that since i'm seeing them on the last date of the tour, we may get some surprises

I don't like the sound of this at all.
what? it's a deftones album... what would u expect it to sound like
I was hoping they would tone down the harder stuff. They can do so much better.
they're a metal band, they will never completely tone down.
No, they're not. They're a hard rock band. And I didn't say they should completley tone down, I just want them to cut the screaming shit.
i've been listening to deftones alot lately to prepare for the taste of chaos show in a few weeks and they're the definition of that crappy "nu-metal" label that's given to bands.

1. The Deftones have a lot more in common with punk/hardcore than with any of the so called "nu-metal" bands. Simply playing hard rock in the 90's or early 00's does not automatically put one in that genre. Get your facts straight.
2. Why would you pay to go to a show when you don't like the music of the headlining act. And if that is the case, who could you possibly be going to see that you feel is better than the Deftones? I looked at the bands for St Louis and every one of them (with the exception of As I Lay Dying) is complete garbage.
