I was looking at The String Quartet Tribute to Pearl Jam, I dont have it and honestly dont want it, but there is a song on there called "Flannel Rain". I have never heard of this before, it's not a pearl jam song is it? Any clues?

It sounds like the name of a 90's parody movie...

the pearl jam one isn't that great... the weezer one is really cool and the elliott smith samples ones sound good, but i wasn't a big fan of the pearl jam one

This is supposed to be a new compilation, with an updated selection.
The release date is set for April 25 2006. I didn't like the first one that much, but not all of these "String quartet tribute to [insert very random artist here]" are that bad. "Strung out on OK computer" kicks ass in my opinion, hope they do something similar for this one.

Thoughts ?

Unless it's a live orchestra...i don't want it.

I haven't heard a good one of those and there are so many. Just a cheesy money maker.

as long as "Pearl Jam" is written on it, I'll buy it.

I didn't realize there already was a pearl jam one though. I have one for REM. It's passable background music.

Like I've said, I have the radiohead one, "Strung out on OK computer"... I think it's really good, still a cheesy money maker, and they release these things by the boat load... I may skip this Pearl Jam one and get me the Jessica Simpson tribute.
