I'm interested to get peoples insights about these. It seems there are still quite a few discrepancies between the lyrics on the new site, and lyrics in the album booklets and such.
Even though they put these lyrics on the "official" site, I still do not take it as canon because of these inconsistancies.
So, while all you people are pouring through the new site, I'd like you to post any such discrepancies you find.
Example:
In Vitalogy, Ed writes the lyrics to Better Man as "She Feeds him" while on the website it says "She Needs Him"
I'm not looking for opinions on what you think the lyrics are, but actual differences from places pearl jam has officially written their lyrics (like in the album booklets) and the new website.

This could be my time
How 'bout you?
I just need to say
What can I take? I just want to beI know that i would not ever touch you
Hold you
Feel you
Ever hold Never again
it was nice to seelyrics for all night

We wouldn't say it was "Black magic viente y tres" just as a guess. In this case (and we almost certainly will have to add this as a disclaimer on the article), we wrote that it was "Black magic viente y tres" based on a conversation a fan had with the man himself - Eddie Vedder.
I think a website or liner notes can reprint lyrics, but ultimately the holder of truth is the songwriter

I just sent them an e-mail asking them about the source of the lyrics

"Red Dot" or "The Color Red" from Yield is listed as "Untitled" on the new site.
However, I'm not sure there was any official title released, so maybe they just went with "Untitled". Actually, it wouldnt have been very hard to do ·

It's funny how the Corduroy lyrics are cut just before the 'controversial' part, heh
p.s. Anyone else having problems viewing the new site in Firefox 1.5? The main page is ok, but when I got to any other section, it just doesn't display the background and most of the text
It's ok under IE and Opera though.

Also, where is Hummus?
and an extension to that...
it says that "untitled" aka "color red" has been played 35 times... that cant be true... unless they mean the "untitled" that precedes MFC... but they still link the lyrics for "color red" when u click on it...
i find it thought-provoking that the lyrics and punctuation on the new pj songs section and tsis are, in many cases, identical.
