I have been looking on this board for years, yet I have never posted. It is funny to see all of you passionate people disagree about Eddie's hypocrisy, the bands direction, and the quality of the music that has developed thus far. I have a few questions out of curiosity....just looking for a general idea............
How many of you have the actual recording of Bee Girl or Footsteps on cassette?
How many of you have a genuine bootleg cassette of I've got a Feeling or Saying No in Denmark?
Who used to subscribe to the Footsteps Fanzine? How much was it?
Who has a cassette copy of Eddie's answering machine message singing with Beth?
How many of you actually spent $30 for the Japanese version of Ten?
Who spent $30 on the Bridge School benefit VHS with Angel performed on it?
Who actually used to mail cassette tape bootlegs to other fans in exchange for other shows?
Who has Mookie Blaylock's first show on VHS?
Who has the 1993 Vegas show on VHS?
Thanks
e

Must be big if its in two different countries. As for all the Cassette questions, i never was a tape fan. I had CD's pretty early in the stages of it coming out.
As for the VHS yeah been there done that, upgraded to the lossless DVD.

Is this a dick measuring contest?
Because if so, I don't know if mine will be the longest but I bet mine will be the only with one the PJ stickman tattooed on the head.

The only thing on your list I did was pay 30 bucks for the import ten.
I used to buy 50 dollar bootlegs all the time in college though.

1. I don't really understand your first question. I bought an import of the Jeremy single on cd in late 92 or early 1993. I had no need for it on cassette. I first acquired Bee Girl on the cd bootleg titled "New Songs" in 1994. Again, cassette was not necessary.
2. You fucked up here buddy. Eddie calls the song "Saying No in DEN HAAG" (not Denmark because the band was playing in the city of Den Haag, Holland on 3/2/92.
But anyway, both songs appear on the CD bootleg titled "Small Club" which is a soundboard of the aformentioned 3/2/92 show. It was the 2nd bootleg I ever bought - again, in late 1992 or early 1993. Again, no need for cassette.
3. No. I have actually never even read an issue. I remember vaguely the dying days of this fanzine back in 1996 as the internet community began to emerge.
4. No. This one I am clueless about. I would love to hear it.
5. No. But I own the yellow digipack which I purchased for the same price ($30) in 1993. Thought about getting the Japanese version at the time. Is that version of I've Got a Feeling from the Japanese import (labled as ? I believe) a studio version? If so I would love to hear that too.
6. No.
7. Yes. I started doing that in 1996 and stopped prior to the 1998 tour. I believe my last tape trade was for the Santa Cruz show in 97 because I wanted to hear the new songs (Wishlist, Given 2 Fly and Evolution)
It was a fucking pain in the ass and the quality was rarely what you hoped for.
If your point is that a lot of people on this board are spoiled because they never experienced that and now bitch about not having a "lossless" copy of a soundboard then your point is well taken. I feel you 100%.
8. I did own it once - bought it for more $$ than I should have spent at a CD convention (remember those stupid things??) while trolling for cd boots. I can't find it now.

What do you mean with 'actual recording'?

As someone else already said, it's Den Haag. That's in the Netherlands, totally different country

I got it for free since I made a fanzine too and we traded
If you don't mind I skip the other questions. I was never a trader because I spent my time in different ways, but many people gave me things for free. Pearl Jam fans rule!
groetjes,
Mirella

Hi washthe dirty frank,
this is a good thread, most of these fookin so called experts on this board were (and maybe still are) bedwetters when pearl jam began. Now they think they have some power and control all taboo topics like eddie getting some pussy here or there or we cant listen to the birdman demos. There are some great posters and good thoughts on this board but I am tired of these experts that their first show was 2003. thos people can just get the fuck out of here.

This is a private board, paid for out of pocket by the administrators. They are entitled to decide what is and is not appropriate here, and the fact that they do is why they have a good working relationship with 10c. If you don't like it you are not obligated to post here. It is a big web.
(and I've been a fan since 1992, and I think the last time I wet the bed was 1981)
