I'll go for the obvious here:
"Pancakes!"
You already got my favorite one about Dr. Mambo though.
And I thought you hated Cabin Fever? Or that was someone else I guess. Regardless, yes, this is an awesome movie, I love it.

You know, I keep seeing people say this, and they never give any reasons why. Please explain yourself.
I'd have to rewatch it to give you specifics, but I thought the whole premise of the movie was retarded. But like I said, I only saw it once and it was a couple of years ago. I'm trusting my initial feeling on this one, but I'd have to watch it again to come up with specific critiques.

i love how they played it off in the previews that it was going to be scary but i went and saw it and it wasn't scary. more of a gore film than horror.
i've never laughed so hard at a movie like this. i spent most of the time laughing at the stupidity.
oh, look there's a body lying in some water. perhaps i should get a stick and turn him over to see if he's alive. whoops! i just fell in the water.

I dislike it for a lot of the same reasons I dislike House of a 1000 corpses. It is just such a disjointed mess that the only thing that kept me slightly interested in watching the film was to see what sort of gore was coming up. And even then it pulled its punches more often then not, which I assume had more to do with the budget. The characters were not interesting, or even likeable, so watching them get mutilated had zero effect on my desensitized mind. You can make these sort of films interesting, just by creating memorable characters, or just good direction like in Devils Rejects.
For a first time director it showed some promise, it had a few moments, but both times I watched it, it was a struggle to make it through the whole thing, and not because of the Gore. It really felt like the script was 5 money shots, a log cabin, teenagers, improvise the rest. So the director would be like ok, we have a cop car, lets figuire out how to implement that, ok we have a lake, lets do something with that, there is a small cornerstore down the road, maybe we could shoot there for a day. It felt like they were just throwing crap in there to fill up space. I love gore/ horror flicks as much as the next person, but this lacked the sort of intelligent design that pushes this type of film past that B level.

That's the beauty of it! It's a B-movie through-and-through. That's the point! You seem to be taking this thing way too seriously.

I was just answering your question. I typically do not like B movies, so that has a lot to do with me not liking this. I think there are movies though, like Evil Dead or the Texas Chansaw Massacre, that are able to be very compelling despite the camp factor and low budget. I think The Devils Rejects succeeded at this, as did High Tension to a lesser extent, but Cabin Fever just did nothing for me. I need the tiniest bit of flow and motivation for a film to work.

You just have to be in the right mindset to watch this movie. If you are looking for somehing really scary or serious this aint it. If you are looking for a fun movie that you can laugh your ass off, this is it.
