it was a brisk, bone-chilling morning in NWPA. winds howled and the sun was covered by thick clouds.

goulet, .5, waxy and outsider met up at a local high school track to run a friendly, yet competitive 40-yard dash. the last to finish had to buy a case of yuengling for the winners to share. outsider was the ref.

she blew the whistle and they were off.

.5 got off to a quick start, but waxy shortly threw his right cowboy boot in front of his feet, and .5 went tumbling down.

good ploy, but, waxy lost his boot and was now running on one boot.

goulet, ahead after the collision, knew waxy was coming for his, for waxy still had one cowboy boot and his cowboy hat on. so goulet did what he knew to do in this situation: pitch his best quoit waxy's way.

well, waxy went down with in a mighty tumble, and goulet won easily. .5 made a strong comeback and warded off waxy to finish 2nd.

waxy bought the beer and hasn't lived it down to this day.

I did 15 dick-lifts with a 20 pound dumbell in 1993. Ahh... to be young and spry again. I miss those days.
