The team my wife coaches had a huge upset yesterday in the PA state tourney. In the state tourney you are supposed to play at a neutral site but for some reason they played Lancaster Catholic IN Lancaster. Here's the little story they had in the paper today. I drove 2 hours to watch and it was an awesome game:

Thanks guys.
They actually had to beat a couple real good teams in the district tourney to qualify for the state tourney. What sucks is they play some team from Scranton Wednesday in Allentown and I wont be able to get there by 6 to see the game.
The best part is my wife made me drive over 2 hours to Hershey last weekend to watch the district title game of the team they beat yesterday. When I said "Do we really need to go and watch them in hershey?" she said "If we want to win I HAVE to watch them play". She put in a game plan to exploit their weaknesses and the kids got it done.

Her team ended up losing Wednesday by 12 to Scranton Prep, who's best player (some 6'4 girl) got hurt 2 minutes into the game and never came back. She was so pissed off because her team played horrible. She said the team that beat them wasn't even that good. She returns 4 of 5 starters next year and they are actually supposed to be getting 2 of the best freshman in the city.

so she's got that going for her ... which is nice. Hey, sounds like they had a good run. Congrats and the future's bright, break out the shades.

congrats...
it's amazing how much fun women's basketball can be to watch if you are involved somehow... i coached jv and varsity girls my first 4 years teaching, and i loved it... got boys now, and i like that better... but the women's game is so intense because each possession is that much more critical with the pace of the games and all... good times

Is the game at the legendary "Rockne Hall" in Allentown?
