I know three people other than me that like Adaptation.

Howard the Duck... that's probably the only 'Marvel' movie I haven't seen.

I liked Attack of the Clones. Phantom Menace I only thought was ok. Part of the problems with these movies are the expectations are way too high. Almost everyone really likes the originals, so there's alot to live up to. People seem to forget these are meant to be fun, silly, B-movie space adventures. There isn't much of a story to the prequals because they are only setting things up for the original.

Pfft. Bullshit. There's tons of story being told. Whether it's being told well is up for debate. And the acting is pretty horrendous, no doubt. But there's tons of plot, regardless.

They are purposely acting bad. They're using a style from the 30s. It was used in the original as well, no realistic acting there. Unless Lucas is bullshitting us, he said so in an interview.

Uh. No. Bullshit. That is probably the worst excuse for bad acting I've ever heard.

Given that most of those actors are pretty good in other films (ie Portman), I'd blame on Lucas' terrible direction and lack of vision.

And an astonishing amount of people seem to dislike what is one of the greatest movies of all time:
