Hey i was thinking it would be kind of cool if they created pearl jam braclets like the lance armstrong. maybe saying 10club or pearl jam. and the proceeds could go to a charity the band supports. ive noticed all different schools, groups, and organizations are creating these different braclets.
well i think the livestrong braclets have had there day. but i think it would be cool to have a PJ one some different color because you know you would have a lot of people asking what it is for.

the "idea" has raised millions of dollars for cancer..and still is..just because it is a hot trend, doesn't mean that it still isn't doing a kick ass job of supporting an awesome cause..which is what the original poster had in mind i think...

definately the LAF even limited the amount available during the summer, which added to the popularity into the fall. A great move, if the product wasent for chairty i would say they were sleazy as hell. but like you said, they were able to raise millions becasue of the fad. now im seeing multicolored and rainbow bracelets everywhere. again, to raise more money for the LAF, but... i dont know where im going with this.

I would get a PJ bracelet if they had one, a Chrohn's one would be great.

I agree that the LiveSTRONG is a great idea (I finally just received my backordered bracelet this week), and yes, is definitely a bit of a current fad right now. A well-meaning, and productive one, but still a fad. PJ just doesn't strike me as a band to join a fad like this. They want people to donate money to causes, and find ways to get us to do it, but for some reason I just don't see this one happening. Sorry to sound pessimistic. Just my opinion.

Well if they are the first band to do it I dont see why they would have a problem with it. I dont think they are against selling things with their name on it. And going to charity would make it all the better. I really need a new one to wear because my John Kerry one is a little out of style right now but enjoyed wearing it while i could.
just found a place that makes the braclets. if you order a 1000 it would cost about 1.40 to make each one. i'm sure they could be sold for about 2.5 or 3.00 and the rest go to a charity

the idea would be awesome... i dunno if pj would be up for it because they don't seem like the type of band that would want to copy something that became so "trendy" and "it"... they'd probably much rather have us just pool our money together and make a donation to a specif charity.... but if somehow the band was up for it, i would definitly buy some not in order to help gather a large sum of money to donate to charity but also to be able to show my support for the band besides wearing my 5 t-shirts 7 days a week... which i have been accused of doing....lol

who cares if it's a trend...it's for a good cause. i think pearl jam would look past the "trend" thing. i mean come on.....this is a GOOD trend. no one is a completely unique snowflake (haha a very stolen line right there). Trends are a part of life...even for the counterculture and for the people who hate what everyone else likes. some even say that is a trend so whatever. who cares.
