heard this on the radio yesterday:

before 2000, he hit 3 home runs that traveled over 400 feet.

Since then, he's hit 25.

(I could be slightly off on the second number, you get the point).

nothing against you at all but I think whoever researched that is a bit off.....

As a Rockies season ticket holder from 93-96 I could probably count a dozen or so that traveled beyond 400

it sounded "off" to me as well, considering most home runs to CF would exceed that.

Or maybe he said 450 feet?

Don't they knock em that far in batting practice in Denver. Thin air and all.

To me it dosen't matter that they hit them 700ft. Everybody turned the blind eye to these guys using the drugs and that is a fact. Just like in the Olympics they will clean up this drug and a new one will come along to "enhance" the players ability. If they get cancer by trying to be the best, those are the side effects they should darn well have known come with playing with steroids. Just ask Flo-Jo.

It does travel farther, some say %10.......If they ever had in pitching, you would see alot more normal games, i.e. 5-3...

They also were using juiced up harder baseballs for several years to encourage scoring and longer homeruns

I learned quite a bit watching the Sox victory parade......it was fascinating. At one point I thought I was watching the Nextel 400 at Talladega.

anyway, I always get a kick out of people who say things like "we're on top". (were you the one who said this yesterday as well?) that kills me.
how many RBI's did you have last season?
