This is a top 10 song in the PJ catalogue!!! I love ed's voice in this song....I don't know where people get that he isn't hitting the notes...he hits them perfectly!!!! Not the way he did in the early years, but I actually prefer his later singing style on this track. They haven't wrote a song this good since Yield!

I just got this one and I'm diggin it, haven't deciphered all of the lyrics yet but it's damn good, I don't like it as much as Severed Hand but I guess you can't really compare songs on opposite ends of the spectrum, this had to be a stone song, songs a little like fatal, which is no complaint, one of their better ballad type songs for sure

You can tell exactly what parts people are referring to when they say he doesn't hit the notes, He hits the notes..., they are just some hard to hit notes and not recognizable to every fan's ear. Especially that moron who gave her review at Synergy, "Grace" wouldn't know a good pj song if it hit her in the head, she just loves the attention. Which means she gets little of it at home.

Agreed... Ed has no problem hitting notes, despite what anyone says. It might seem like that only because of what he puts into this voice. But missing notes is outta the question.

By the way... I love Parachutes.

I didn't read her review but if she said anything negative about this song she is undoubtedly one of the dumbest people walking the Earth, it's so good but there's not enough Mike, I don't want some wild ass solo but he could have thrown a little more onto the song, it lacks his presence in IMO, still I trust that they know their music better than I do and I love this song now that I'm heard it more, it's just fuckin beautiful

there is no way the producer would let him get away with NOT HITTING NOTES. he always hits notes. what he does is change his pitch. he goes high or low. i think people assciate that with not hitting notes.

i can't imagine artists getting their songs released if they actually missed notes.

he doesn't "miss" the high notes necessarily, but he definitly strains to hit them on Parachutes a lot more than i'd prefer.

i just find the song fairly boring still, sorry. def the song out of the 6 that i don't like so far though.

as far as slow PJ songs go, All or None is way way way better imo, and Ed's voice sounds amazing on it.

All or None is much more of a downer though and a very different song, I don't know which I really think is better but it's a close call, I might like Parachutes a tad bit more but maybe that's because it's new, I like McCready on All or None he should have more of a part on parachutes

Mike should put a "wild ass" solo into everything. I'd like to hear something "fucking up" this song...its too perfect for my taste. That being said, I know they cant release an album where every song is tailored towards one persons taste in music.
